Painting by Jason Kelly
This is a painting of the maestro at work in the heart garden. Jason
took a photo with a polaroid camera and worked from this to produce the painting. (you didn’t think I was going to pose there all day did you?
There’s weedin’ to be done!)
Jason set the scene with some plants (penstemon, hebe) in the
foreground and architectural leaves of a tree Paeony on the RHS in my heart garden. He even detailed a tiny ornament on a stone in the background.
I know the camera never lies, but with a painters licence he might have done me a favour and covered my bald patch!
